Congratulations Volunteers

We know our volunteers work hard throughout the year and our youth are enriched by their dedication, their skills and their commitment.  Did you know those hours have a dollar value, too?  This year, the government estimates the value of each contact hour to be just over $18.  Hernando County volunteers provided 94,645 contact hours giving us a value of $1,722,502.60.  If you add in other in-kind donations and money raised, Hernando County 4-H made a fantastic 1.8 million dollar impact on our community.

 4-H Champion

  Congratulations to everyone who successfully showed, competed or participated in a project this year.  I am looking forward to seeing every one of your record books to demonstrate the COMPLETION of your project.  Those books should be here between May 31 and Aug. 1 to qualify for outstanding record keeping awards and project awards.  Everyone turning in a completed book with project report will earn their year pin.
